Activists in Washington DC are organizing an urgent protest action on Sunday 13 January to demand a halt to the imminent execution of Zanyar and Loghman Moradi, young cousins who have been brutally tortured, threatened with rape, and sentenced to death on political charges (“moharabeh”).

The father of Zanyar Moradi will participate in the action by phone.

We ask all honorable people who stand for freedom, equality, human rights and civil liberties, to join this protest to demand a halt to these and all executions, and the immediate and unconditional release of these and all political prisoners in Iran.

In our protest against the execution of the Moradis, we also demand that the Islamic regime in Iran immediately lift the execution sentences of other political prisoners including Abdolreza Ghanbari, Habibollah Golparipour, Amir Mirzaei Hekmati, Hamid Ghasemi-Shall, Zeinab Jalalian, Gholamreza Khosravi, Javad Lari, Habibollah Latifi, Shirko Moarefi, and many, many others.

The protest action will be followed by an optional protest march to Georgetown.
