Event Reports, Not One More Execution, Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani

Event Report, July 11, 2010: Copenhagen Denmark Protests in Support of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani

Human rights actvists held a demonstration in Copenhagen, Denmark today, Sunday the 11th of July in support of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani. (more pictures forthcoming.)

The demonstration was held on the basis of a private initiative, and the word was spread among friends by sms-messages and e-mails. We demonstrated close to the Iranian embassy with signs saying “No to stoning – release Sakineh” and “Human rights in Iran – release Sakineh”. Many people passing by had heard about Sakineh´s situation, acknowledged the purpose of the demonstration and agreed completely. We dealt out a few copies of the letter from Sakineh´s children.
