Esfahan University Student Davar Hoseini-Vojdaan Sentenced to Six Years’ Imprisonment on Unknown Charges

Tehran – 2 November 2012: Davar Hoseini-Vojdaan, resident of Tehran and student at Esfahan Industrial University, was sentenced to 6 years imprisonment. According to HRANA, he was arrested on the 5th of December 2011 and was subjected to several months of solitary confinement in the Ward 209 of Evin Prison. After 4 months, he was transferred to Ward 350 where he remained, without any clarity about his case or why he was being held until during the summer of 2012, during which Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court sentenced him to 6 years imprisonment. The charges against this student of Esfahan Industrial University are unknown. He is currently being held in Ward 350 of Evin Prison.
