Mina Ahadi, spokesperson for the International Committee Against Stoning and the International Committee Against Execution, and Maria Rohaly, coordinator of Mission Free Iran, will announce to the public on August 26, 2010, in Washington DC, the latest developments in the case of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani and other detainees sentenced to stoning in Iran.
Also to be made public are the latest news on the international protest action, 100 Cities of the World Against Stoning, and the worldwide statement for that action; the steps taken towards submission of documents to the United Nations in New York by the Campaign to Save Sakineh Ashtiani; and the steps taken to demand that Ahmadinejad be prevented from entering the UN General Assembly session in September 2010.
The conference will be open to the public.
