The Channon Market in New South Wales, Australia, saw a solidarity action in support of Sakineh and others on death row in Iran, as part of a global weekend of protests over human rights abuses in Iran.
People formed a circle and linked hands and observed a minute’s silence to show their support for all those in Iran facing stoning and execution, many of whom are political prisoners who have endured rape and torture.
