Washington DC Stands Up Against Stoning on July 11
in memory of 18 Tir, when the Islamic Republic regime attacked university students in their dormitories
First we will gather at noon in front of the Islamic Republic’s Interests Section of the Pakistani Embassy (2209 Wisconsin Ave NW) to protest against the barbarity of this regime in its use of stoning and execution as political tools of terror. We will also remember 18 Tir.
We will then move to the Lincoln Memorial for a 2pm protest against the ideas being propagated by Hizb ut-Tahrir America, the American branch of a multinational organization that promotes the practice of stoning generally and promotes the practice of stoning specifically as a solution to the global AIDS epidemic.
The American branch of this organization has planned a organizational meeting on July 11 in the Chicago area. The Washington DC event is meant to counter and challenge the ideas propounded by this organization, promoting instead the ideals of universal human rights.
The Lincoln Memorial protest is organized by REAL Courage.
We hope to see you out there to stand against the barbaric practices of stoning and execution.
