We distributed double sided-copies of this flyer (Zeinab on one side, Sakineh on the other) at our protest on July 2, 2010 against the stoning of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani and the execution of female political prisoner Zeinab Jalalian. After we finished yelling at the Islamic Republic regime’s representatives at their offices, a couple of us walked down to Georgetown (which is a popular destination in Washington DC) and strolled up and down M Street with flyers in hand.
Many people were interested in learning about Sakineh and Zeinab, and wanted to take action to remove the Islamic Republic from the UN Commission on the Status of Women.
