MFI ENCOURAGES ATTENDANCE AT ALL 3 DEMOS

11am: protest organized by Human Rights & Secular Democracy for Iran (mostly Monarchist group, explicitly demands end to velayat-e faqih; attendees of these events are usually mostly monarchist, socialist, independent; all are welcome)

2pm: protest organized by Washington Left Unity (a small mixed group with left orientation, slogans and mission statement not known at time of publication; seems to be first event this org has held though the org has existed for many years in DC area; all are welcome)

3:30pm: protest organized by Solidarity Committee (uses “green” symbolism, has not demanded end to velayat-e faqih) and Iranian American Youth (on record as demanding end to theocracy). Attendees of events organized by Solidarity are from across the political spectrum and always demand end to Islamic Republic in chants; all are welcome.
