Free Political Prisoners, Human Rights, Not One More Execution

Condemn the Execution of Habib Golparipour and Seventeen Other Political Prisoners in Iran

26 october 2013 - golparipour plus 17With great pain, we heard the news today of the execution of Habibollah Golparipour in Uromiah, and 17 other political prisoners, 16 of them in Zahedan.

The thugs of the Islamic regime have not declared the names of the 16 people they executed in Zahedan. Mohammad Marzieh, the attorney general of the regime of thugs, has announced that these 16 “Moharebs” (1) were executed in retaliation (!!) for yesterday’s attack on the Islamic regime’s military in Sistan and Baluchistan.

This barbarity must stop! We call on all human rights organizations to strongly condemn these executions and demand an immediate stop to all executions in Iran.

We send our condolences to the family and friends of our dear Habibollah Golparipour and Rezaa Esmaaeyli. We will neither forget nor forgive this criminal regime for the heinous murder of these 18 political prisoners, and tens of thousands of others.

Down with the entirety of the Islamic regime.
Not one more execution.

(1) “Mohareb” means “enemy of god,” a political charge that is criminalized by the Islamic regime in Iran. Anyone who is seen by the regime as opposing the Islamic regime is deemed “Mohareb,” a charge that carries the death penalty.
